Poor, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Commanding Officer of Bombing Squadron TEN (VB-10), embarked in U.S.S. ENTERPRISE, in the vicinity of Truk, Caroline Islands and New Guinea, during March and April 1944.
