Debaun, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Commanding Officer of a warship in a carrier task group in Western Pacific waters from 1 July 1945 to 15 August 1945.
