Heath (NSN: 8067699), United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Aircrewman of a Patrol bomber in Patrol Bombing Squadron TWENTY-SEVEN (VPB-27), Fleet Air Wing 1, off the China Coast, from 29 March 1945 to 21 June 1945.
