The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Distinguished Service Medal to Captain Thomas Harold Dyer, United States Navy, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States while attached to the Division of Naval Communications from 7 December 1941 to 2 September 1945. Captain Dyer rendered invaluable assistance in directing and carrying out the vital work of key activities of the communications organizations.
