Glennon, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Officer-in-Charge, Naval Ordnance Laboratory, Navy Yard, Washington and later as Commanding Officer, Naval Powder Factory, from December 1941 to October 1945.
