(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant, Junior Grade Wesley J. H. Gallagher, United States Naval Reserve, was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action as Boat Captain of Motor Torpedo Boat TWO HUNDRED TWO (PT-202), Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron FIFTEEN, off the coast of Italy, 15 to 16 July 1944. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Naval Service.
