Harding, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit (Posthumously) for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Naval AttachŽ and Naval AttachŽ for Air to Egypt and to the Greek government-in-exile, U.S. Liaison Officer to the Yugoslav general headquarters, from 17 April 1943 to 12 March 1945.
