(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant John W. Jamison, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States while in charge of amphibious training for American and Australian troops for landings in New Guinea, Bismarck Archipelago, Molucca Islands and the Philippine Islands during World War II.
