The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Private Wilfred Clark, United States Army, for conspicuous gallantry, especial skill as sharpshooter on August 9 – 20, 1877, while serving with Company L, 2d U.S. Cavalry, in action at Big Hole, Montana and at Camas Meadows, Idaho.
