Warrick, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Assistant Battalion Surgeon and later Battalion Surgeon, SECOND Marine Division, on Tarawa, from 20 to 24 November 1943.
