Tacker, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Officer-in-Charge of Combat Photography Unit Number 4, Attu, Territory of Alaska, from 11 May 1944 to 1945.
