Umphrey (NSN: 0-136943), United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Pilot in Patrol Bombing Squadron ONE HUNDRED THIRTY (VPB-130) over the Pacific from 7 November 1944 to 5 February 1945.
