(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Chef des Squadron Andre Galvez, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with the Artillery Regiment, Algeria, French Army, in action against enemy forces near El Abouab, Tunisia, on 21 December 1942. Chef des Squadron Galvez’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
