(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Ensign Robert K. Gunderson (NSN: 0-364073), United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Co-Pilot in Patrol Bombing Squadron ONE HUNDRED SIX (VPB-106) over Borneo, Celebes, Malaya, Indo China, from 27 April to 24 May 1945.
