Conry (NSN: 0-363407), United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Co-Pilot of a Naval airplane in Patrol Bombing Squadron ONE HUNDRED SIX (VPB-106), over the Ryukyus, Bandjermasin, Borneo, Honshu, Shikoku, Japan, from 15 April 1945 to 14 May 1945.
