Clinton (NSN: 0-125581), United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Co-Pilot of a U.S. Navy Patrol Bombing Aircraft in Patrol Bombing Squadron SIXTY-THREE (VPG-63), engaged in anti-submarine operations in the Bay of Biscay and the Western Approaches to the United Kingdom during the period 17 August 1943 to 25 June 1944.
