    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to First Lieutenant (Infantry) Gael Martin Frazier, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving as Commanding Officer of Company L, 3d Battalion, 47th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division, in action against enemy forces in Germany, on 21 November 1944. During the crossing of the Rhine River at Remagen, Germany, First Lieutenant Frazier’s company was the first Infantry unit to cross. Shortly after the crossing, he was wounded and evacuated. First Lieutenant Frazier’s extraordinary heroism, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the military forces of the United States and reflect great credit upon himself, the 9th Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
