(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Seaman First Class Andrew G. Johnson (NSN: 8121702), United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal (Posthumously) for heroic conduct in assisting in the rescue of a shipmate when the U.S.S. COD’s after torpedo room caught fire on 26 April 1945.
