The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy and Marine Corps Medal to Electrician’s Mate First Class Clyde R. Kime, United States Navy, for heroic conduct while serving aboard a United States Submarine during war patrols in enemy controlled waters during World War II. As a submarine crewman during three strenuous war patrols in enemy controlled waters, he performed his essential duties with outstanding professional skill. His devotion to duty under hazardous conditions contributed greatly to the destruction or damaging of numerous enemy vessels.
