    The President of the United States of America takes pride in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) to Seaman First Class Carl Adolph Bremer (NSN: 9431553), United States Navy, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight during the period 20 July 1945 to 11 August 1945.
    July 20, 1945: Air Sea Rescue – Flown off the coast of Honshu.
    July 24, 1945: Search 600 miles northwest of Shiomi Saki Point east at Nagoya Bay, Bombed, strafed and set afire two wooden sea truck a (135′). Observed one Irving headed southwest at 2,000 feet outside of Nagoya Bay.
    August 2, 1945: Air Sea Rescue – Flown off the coast of Honshu.
    August 5, 1945: Air Sea Rescue – Flown off the coast of Honshu.
    August 11, 1945: Search – 600 miles north of Iwo Jima into Sagami Wan, attacked by six enemy fighters and shot down in flames, cart wheeling into the bay.
