(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to First Lieutenant Jean Alziari Deroquefort, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with the Cavalry Reserve, assigned to duty with the Office of Strategic Services, in action against enemy forces in World War II. First Lieutenant Deroquefort’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
