The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Aviation Machinist’s Mate Third Class Alexander J. Bialecki (NSN: 8015031), United States Naval Reserve, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight in the Southwest Pacific Area. During the period from 26 January 1945 to 2 June 1945, he participated in twenty flights in an active combat area where enemy anti-aircraft fire was expected to be effective and enemy anti-aircraft fire usually occur. His conduct throughout has distinguished him among those performing duties of the same character.
