    The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Aviation Ordnanceman Second Class Paul Roland Henderson, United States Navy, for heroism and extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an Aircrewman in a Patrol Plane in Patrol Bombing Squadron ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-THREE (VPB-133), during operations against enemy Japanese forces in the Pacific War Area from 3 to 31 March 1945. Completing his twentieth mission during this period, Aviation Ordnanceman Second Class Henderson contributed to the success of his plane in the infliction of damage and destruction on enemy shipping and shore installations. His devotion to duty was in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
