The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Aviation Radioman Second Class Panerazio Francisco Arcidiancona (NSN: 2835002), United States Navy, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight in the Pacific Area from 13 October 1942 to 23 October 1942. Aviation Radioman Second Class Arcidiancona completed twenty flights in a combat area where enemy anti-aircraft fire was expected to be effective or where enemy aircraft patrols usually occurred. His conduct throughout has distinguished him among those performing duties of the same character.

The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting a Gold Star in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross to Aviation Radioman First Class Panerazio Francisco Arcidiancona (NSN: 2835002), United States Navy, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Radioman of the crew of a heavy bomber operating in the Solomon Islands during the period January to September 1943. Aviation Radioman First Class Arcidiancona participated in numerous strikes against the enemy, and in patrol, reconnaissance and attack missions, often under adverse flying conditions and against active enemy opposition. His courageous efforts contributed materially to the gains made in that area and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
