The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Aviation Radioman Third Class Edward Duane Andrews, United States Navy, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flights in connection with military operations against the enemy in the Volcano and Ryukyu Islands, between 16 February 1945 and 20 April 1945.
