Hart, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from 12 August 1965 to 15 June 1967, as Underseas, Antisubmarine Warfare and Special Operations Warfare Officer, Operations Division, on the staff of the Commander in Chief United States Atlantic Fleet.
