(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Commander Leo Boston, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while leading a 26-plane strike into the heavily defended area of Vinh, North Vietnam on 4 April 1966. Commander Boston, despite intense anti-aircraft fire, inflicted serous damage to a naval base, a petroleum storage area and a marshalling yard and repair facility.
