(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Chief Electrician’s Mate Alvin P. Loupe, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism on 6 October 1966, while serving aboard U.S.S. ESCAPE (ARS-6), at San Juan, Puerto Rico. Chief Loupe aided in the rescue of two civilian workers, who were trapped in a gasoline void.
