Leydon, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from June 1964 to June 1967, as Chief of Naval Research. Rear Admiral Leydon has made major contributions to the scientific and engineering achievements of the Office of Naval Research.
