Hulburt, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight on 30 June 1966, as a pilot in the first division of aircraft participating in an important strike against the Bac Giang petroleum storage area, northeast of Hanoi, North Vietnam.
