Grantham, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as both Deputy Chief and Assistant Chief of Staff for Plans and Operations, Naval Advisory Group, Military Assistance Command, Vietnam, from 4 June 1964 to 23 September 1965.
