(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Rear Admiral Alexander S. Goodfellow, Jr., United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from 18 August 1966 to 18 January 1967 as Commander Task Group 70.8, while the SEVENTH Fleet was actively engaged in combat operations in support of the Republic of Vietnam.
