(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain Oliver D. Compton, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from August 1964 to February 1966 while serving in a managerial capacity in connection with the Navy’s provision of expendable conventional munitions to combat forces in Southeast Asia.
