(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Airman Apprentice Rudolph Chavez, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism in saving the life of the driver of a flaming, overturned automobile. Airman Apprentice First Class Chavez, a passenger in the car, was dazed and suffering form a severely injured arm because of the accident, but he managed to pull the pinned driver from the burning vehicle, which was in imminent danger of exploding.
