(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain (CEC) Harold F. Liberty, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as commander, THIRTIETH Naval Construction Regiment from 18 May to 1 September 1965, for his contributions to the development and construction of river and harbor improvements, erection of POL facilities, construction of a 400-bed hospital, numerous landing facilities and all Marine cantonments in the Naval Component Commander’s area and for developing access to previously inaccessible locations, thereby materially contributing to the success of this command.
