(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Commander Robert A. Hyde, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Commanding Officer of U.S.S. CAIMAN (SS-323) during the Fall of 1965, for the success of his ship in accomplishing a mission of great value to the Government of the United States.
