(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Commander Robert M. Douglass, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Commanding Officer, U.S.S. SARGO (SSN-583), during three related missions conducted in the period 17 July 1963 to 19 June 1965, which resulted in achievements of great value to the United States Government.
