Dunsmore, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from January 1964 to February 1966 while serving in the Fleet Support Unit, Office of Naval Intelligence, for his work in the development of sensors for surface ships and submarines.
