(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Rear Admiral Frederick Vantyne Holbro Hilles, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Commander Military Sea Transportation Service, Pacific Area, from 14 September 1964 to 30 June 1965. Rear Admiral Hilles contributed immeasurably to the operational readiness of MSTS in the Pacific.
