(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Rear Admiral (SC) Herschel Joseph Goldberg, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Deputy Chief of the Bureau of Supplies and Accounts from December 1962 to April 1965. Rear Admiral Goldberg contributed immeasurably to the development and implementation of Uniformed Automated Data Processing Systems which have improved the effectiveness of the Navy Supply System.
(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Rear Admiral (SC) Herschel Joseph Goldberg, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States as Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command, and Chief of Supply Corps, from May 1965 to July 1967. He served with great distinction as administrator of the world-wide Naval Supply System. His singularly distinctive accomplishments and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
