(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain (DC) Arthur R. Frechette, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States AS Head, Professional Branch and Deputy Chief of the Dental Division, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and as Commanding Officer of the U.S. Naval Dental School, from October 1956 to May 1965. Among his accomplishments were the development of courses to improve the performance of dental officers and the establishment of a realistic program of dental care for dependents.
