Nation, United States Navy, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Deputy Commandant, Armed Forces Staff College, from June 1960 to June 1962. Instrumental in effecting the first major reorganization of the faculty of the Armed Forces Staff College in 1961, Rear Admiral Nation was highly successful in carrying out his responsibilities throughout this period.
