(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain (MC) Lyle J. Roberts (NSN: 0-12666), United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Executive Officer, U.S. Naval Hospital Canacoa, Philippine Islands from 7 December 1941 to 2 January 1942, and as a Prisoner of War of the Japanese until 20 August 1945.
