Lieutenant, Junior Grade Wesley Imel Norman (NSN: 0-250601), United States Navy, was captured by Japanese forces after his airplane was shot down over the Philippine Islands on 12 October 1944 , and was held as a Prisoner of War until his death while still in captivity.
