(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Commander [then Lieutenant, Junior Grade] Allen Jack Fisher (NSN: 0-82928), United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Senior American Officer in a Japanese Prisoner of War camp at Macassar, Celebes, from 2 October 1943 to 26 July 1945.
