    The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Air Medal to Ensign Dale Faler (NSN: 0-327702), United States Navy, for meritorious achievement in aerial flight as Pilot of an Attack Bomber in Attack Squadron SIXTY-FIVE (VA-65), based on board the U.S.S. BOXER (CV-21), during operations against enemy aggressor forces in Korea from 3 April 1952 to 17 June 1952. Completing twenty combat missions during this period, Ensign Faler carried out destructive attacks against enemy transportation facilities, supply centers and shipping in the face of hostile anti-aircraft fire. By his courage, skilled airmanship and devotion to duty throughout, he contributed materially to the success achieved by his squadron and upheld the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
