Fireman First Class John Walter Robinson (NSN: 3371165), United States Navy, was captured by the Japanese after the sinking of his ship the U.S.S. HOUSTON (CA-30), on 28 February 1942, and was held as a Prisoner of War until his death in captivity.
[NOTE: Some records show John Robinson was Killed in Action in the Battle as Sunda Strait, but NARA lists him as first being a Prisoner of War.]
