(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Commander Henry Suerstedt, Jr., United States Navy, was awarded a Gold Star in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving with Fighter Squadron FIFTY-FOUR (VF-54), in action against enemy aggressor forces in Korea on 8 April 1953.
