Singleton, United States Navy, was awarded a Second Gold Star in lieu of a Third Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving with Fighter Squadron NINETY-FOUR (VF-94), in action against enemy aggressor forces in Korea on 30 June 1953.
