(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Commander Archie B. Treadwell, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States while serving as Head, Attack Weapons Systems Section, Air Warfare Division, Staff, Commander Operational Test and Evaluation Force, from October 1965 to June 1966, for his help in the development of plans to investigate tactics and equipment to reduce the effectiveness of the enemy anti-aircraft system existing in Southeast Asia.
